Radal Technology SD Evolution Vape & Tobacco smoke detection products provide a selection of options to help protect your facility. The basic option is simply to detect when vaping or tobacco smoking occurs in areas such as washrooms and toilet facilities. Depending on which product you choose you can also monitor for anti-social and threatening behaviour, air quality, temperature and humidity in the protected area.
Vaping in facilities, especially schools and colleges has reached epidemic proportions in recent years.

Cig-Arrête has proven to reduce smoking in school toilet areas, but with the rise in the availability of cheap vaping products our young people have switched to vaping, with some believing that vaping is a much healthier option than smoking cigarettes.
We know that the health effects of tobacco smoking are demonstrable, but until much more research is done with regard to vape constituents, we do not know the dangers of vaping or its effects on long term health.

How It Works
Cig-Arrête Vape & Tobacco Smoke System Overview
The new Vape detection system is designed so that different products can be installed together to provide our customers with the datapoints they require. The system is designed to be connected to the IOT (Internet Of Things) through a Gateway so that real time alarms can be logged, broadcast and even emailed to any number of computers, tablets or phones.
Real time data is stored on the Radal Cloud Portal which can be viewed and downloaded by our customers.

Cig-Arrête Vape & Tobacco Smoke Detector
The CSA-VAPE product incorporates particle and gas sensing technology and is designed to detect vaping and smoking. The product provides voice messages in the vicinity to warn of alarms. The product will provide coverage for an area 3m x 3m x 3m and can be hard wired to any other Cig-Arrête SD Evolution products in the range such as a Sounder Beacon.
In addition, the product can be connected to a Cig-Arrête Gateway in order to provide Cloud Monitoring which will alert staff via text/email of any alarm occurrence.

Cig-Arrête Vape, Flame & Smoke Detector
The CSA-VAPE/F incorporates the addition of Flame detection to the standard CSA-VAPE+ model. In addition to detecting vaping and smoking the product will detect a 25mm flame up to a distance of 6 metres within one second and generate an alarm condition. The product will provide coverage for an area 3m x 3m x 3m and can be hard wired to any other Cig-Arrête SD Evolution products in the range such as a Sounder Beacon. In addition, the product can be connected to a Cig-Arrête Gateway in order to provide Cloud Monitoring which will alert staff via text/email of any alarm occurrence.

Cig-Arrête Vape, Tobacco Smoke and Environment Sensor
The CSA-VAPE+ product incorporates vape, tobacco smoke and CO2 environment monitor along with temperature and humidity sensors. Air quality is monitored at all times with alarm thresholds set by the user.
In addition, the product can be connected to a Cig-Arrête Gateway in order to provide Cloud Monitoring which will alert staff via text/email of any alarm occurrence.

Cig-Arrête Combined Vape, Tobacco Smoke Detector & SpeechPOD
The CSA-VAPE/M incorporates an additional PIR motion sensor to the CSA-VAPE+ model. In addition to detecting vaping and smoking, the product monitors air quality, temperature and humidity and also detects motion in the area surrounding the product. The product will provide coverage for an area 3m x 3m x 3m and can be hard wired to any other Cig-Arrête SD Evolution products in the range such as a Sounder Beacon.In addition, the product can be connected to a Cig-Arrête Gateway in order to provide Cloud Monitoring which will alert staff via text/email of any alarm occurrence.

Cig-Arrête Combined Sounder Flasher Unit
CSA-VAPE/S incorporates a voice alarm combined with an ultra bright LED Flasher Unit and is designed to provide voice messages and visual indication in remote areas of a facilities to warn of a detection alarm, such as restrooms, washrooms in schools, hospitals and business. The CSA-VAPE/S can be hard wired to any other Cig-Arrête SD Evolution products in the Vape Detection range.
In addition, the product can be connected to a Cig-Arrête Gateway in order to provide Cloud Monitoring which will alert staff via text/email of any alarm occurrence.

Cig-Arrête Cloud Gateway
The Cig-Arrête Cloud Gateway provides integral power and communication for locally installed detectors and also facilitates connection to the Radal Cloud App through a locally provided router connection. The Cloud Gateway allows each Cig-Arrête SD Evolution Vape Detector to report alarms, sounds, air quality, movement, temperature and humidity data in real time to the Cloud App.
Customers who purchase this device along with a licence can monitor all this data in real time and also have access to text and email alerts when alarms and events occur.
Cig-Arrête Cloud Sub Gateway
The Cig-Arrête Cloud Sub Gateway provides integral power and communication for locally installed detectors and also facilitates wireless communication to The site Cloud Gateway. By utilizing wire free communication between The Cloud gateway and numerous Sub Gateways, hard wiring of devices is reduced to local restrooms leading to an overall cost reduction in installation.
Customers who purchase this device along with a licence can monitor all this data in real time and also have access to text and email alerts when alarms and events occur.
