Cig-Arrête Weatherproof (External) Products
In external applications such as hospital or office entrance areas where smokers congregate, many customers wish to install Cig-Arrête smoke detection products, or PIR based detection systems to advise smokers to please use the designated smoking areas. The following products are installed in hundreds of hospital antrance areas throughout the NHS.
The products are either battery powered, or 9-24Vdc version which is powered using a mains power supply. The details of each can be found below.
Battery Only Products
Cig-Arrête Weatherproof Flame Detector
The CSA-FDW is designed for the detection of unauthorised smoking in external areas subject to high winds, rapid ventilation, smoke and gas. Typical applications include open areas, building entry/exit points, rooms with high ceilings (>3m <6m), or locations subject to intermittent smoke or vapour. The CSA-FDW is designed for single applications, and will detect a 25mm cigarette lighter flame at 6 metres within 1 second.

Cig-Arrête Weatherproof SpeechPOD
The Weatherproof SpeechPOD CSA-PODW incorporates a PIR motion sensor and is designed to provide voice messages in any outdoor area of a facility to warn of special risks or hazards such as slips, trips and falls, infection control procedures, hygiene requirements, security monitoring or point of sale merchandising.
Fully programmable with a simple hand held remote, the Cig-Arrête® SD Evolution product range is a truly global product with the ability to play any audio file in any language without the need for complex programming knowledge.

CSA-FSDW incorporates Flame and PIR motion detection and is designed to provide voice messages in any external area of a facility, especially entrance areas to warn of illicit tobacco smoking, special risks or hazards such as slips, trips and falls, or to direct patients and visitors to a designated smoking area. Different messages can be played between the PIR and flame detectors.
